"I've always been fascinated
by their sound and acoustics. The fidelity of a pipe organ is
just not attainable other than by an orchestra."
-Roland Rutz (founder and CEO of Rutz Organ) |

The Rutz Organ Company was founded in 1979 in
Kilkenny, Minnesota. We began running our operation out of a small
shop adjacent to our founder's home. Rutz Organ began as a service
company, primarily tuning and repairing pipe organs.
In 1988 we moved to a shop in Morristown, Minnesota and as time went
on, and our reputation spread, Rutz Organ transformed into a company
offering a wide range of full service options for pipe organs using
state-of-the-art techniques.
The types of work we perform range the gamut from the creation of
new instruments on slider chests (tracker or electric action) or channeled
electro-mechanical chests, to the rebuilding and restoration of old
instruments. We also specialize in maintenance, tuning, repair and
moving of existing instruments. |

Over the past 23 years, we have completed
fifty new instruments or major rebuilds, including the first American
organ in the Baltic States in Riga, Latvia, and the restoration of
an organ built in 1892 by the Dinse Organ Company, which resides in
Christmas Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, Palestine.
Rutz Organ is proud to have serviced approximately 200 instruments
and moved hundreds of pipe organs in churches, colleges, and homes
around the United States. |
Rutz Organ offers services for the
professional organ builders visiting our site as well. We build new
chests to order (slider or electro-mechanical channeled design), resurface
and rebuild old slider chests. We also re-voice old pipe work and
broker for new pipes.
